What the academy keeps
| Data | Purpose and retention |
|---|---|
| Account identifier, enrollment and payment references | Course access, refunds and necessary transaction records. No full card details or account passwords in the academy database. These records are excluded from learning-data deletion; broader erasure requires review. |
| Scores, read flags and lab/project checklists | Learning progress until you delete it or the service ends; this is separate from optional text saving. |
| Worksheet notes and project text | New cloud saves are off by default. If enabled, text is eligible for clearing after 90 days without an update. You can clear it sooner below. Saving new work to the same record updates its retention date. |
| Learner and pilot feedback | Course improvements; eligible for deletion after 90 days. New feedback does not duplicate your email. Account-linked feedback is personal data, not anonymous. |
| Career-service requests | Account/email, chosen service, goals, schedule and quote/payment details are used to provide the requested service. Unquoted, unpaid cancelled requests are eligible for deletion after 90 days. Active requests and service contracts need individual review. No resume uploads are collected. |
| Privacy requests | Account identifier, contact email, request type, status and dates. The email is needed for the owner to handle your request. Closed requests are eligible for deletion after one year; open requests remain for handling. Rate counters retain a short activity window and expire through cleanup. |
Retention cleanup runs when you visit privacy controls or a signed-in course profile. The existing daily recovery run also performs the published retention cleanup for inactive accounts and expired invitations, once per UTC day. If that run or its connection fails, cleanup may be delayed; the owner can run it manually. Deletion affects the active database. Backup, log and provider retention must be verified separately; we do not promise immediate deletion from every system.
Recovery copies
Essential enrollment, transaction, progress, service and privacy-request records may be included in encrypted recovery snapshots. Optional worksheet/project text and learner feedback and transient pilot records are excluded. Private snapshot objects are retained for up to seven days and pruned on the next successful backup. Off-provider copies and provider version histories have separate retention that the owner must manage. A hash of your account identifier, deletion scope and deletion date is retained to prevent older snapshots from reviving deleted learning records; this is pseudonymous personal information. A current deletion ledger must be reconciled before restoring any snapshot.
Your privacy choices
No advertising analytics or marketing mailing list is included in the academy application. The appearance preference is stored in your browser. Authentication and infrastructure may use essential cookies or technical logs. Do not enter passwords, government IDs, sensitive personal information or confidential employer data in learning exercises or appointment goals.
Using processors does not remove the academy’s responsibilities. The owner must finish its legal applicability review, vendor agreements, international-transfer assessment and retention requirements before claiming legal compliance. Optional cloud saving can be turned off here; this clears saved learning text. Read the course and privacy notice and review our security status.
